Top Tools Apps on Android in Romania: Q1 2022

In the first quarter of 2022, the top five tools apps on the Android platform in Romania demonstrated a range of performance metrics. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads and active user trends for each app based on data from Sensor Tower.

QR & Barcode Scanner from Gamma Play maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 21K at the start of January before gradually decreasing to approximately 12.8K by the end of March. The app’s active users fluctuated between 98K and 116K, showing a slight decline towards the end of the quarter.

GG Cleaner by Narang Jawahar experienced a significant spike in downloads, particularly in early March, reaching up to 43K. This increase was reflected in active users, which surged to over 105K in the same period. However, this app saw no revenue growth during this quarter.

VD Browser & Video Downloader by DS tools showed a steady decline in downloads from 31.5K at the end of December to around 2.9K by the end of March. Despite this, the app's active user base remained relatively stable, ranging from 13K to 30K. Revenue for this app peaked at $106 in the first week of January but generally stayed below $80 for the rest of the quarter.

Samsung Smart Switch Mobile from Samsung Electronics exhibited an upward trend in downloads, peaking at 14K in mid-March. Active users followed a similar trend, increasing from 23K at the beginning of January to over 36K by mid-March.

Lastly, MyElectrica by Electrica Furnizare SA saw a notable increase in downloads, especially in mid-February with a peak of 26K. This growth was mirrored in its active user count, which reached up to 80K during the same period.
